We come from a background of human resource management, database development and education - a combination which means that we can tackle complex problems behind the scenes while communicating easily with the user.

We realised that in the last few years, several large providers of human resource software have tried to provide a solution to help nurses plan the Off-Duty. However, because their systems were incredibly complicated, and designed as a "jack of all trades" that could be used in any industry, they were just no good to a busy NHS ward sister.

So, one spring morning, we sat down in a cafe and sketched out the basic plan for RotaBee on a napkin. We produced a mock-up which we showed to several ward sisters - and they loved it. So we went on to produce a prototype, which we tested in lots of wards so we could get it just right... and the rest is history!
